i have a one container worm bed since aboutmay-june. yesterday i found some worms on the garage floor and many crawling up the inside of the container – – they have plenty of food and the environment inside is moist, not wet. what is wrong and what needs to be done? harry

      Hi Harry,

How long have you had this bin set up? Is it new? Are the worms new to the bin?

I ask because I’ve found that when I put new worms in a bin they seem to really explore for a few days/weeks. I’ve had the same issue where they escape through the train holes and get out. Usually after a while though they seem to calm down and settle in though.

If it’s an established bin and worms it could be a Ph issue. It’s funny that you ask this question right now, as my post today was talking about the same issue of my worms being on the walls and ceiling of the bin for the first time in a long time. I’m going to give it a few days and if they don’t settle in I’ll check the Ph levels I think.

Hope this helps, let me know how it goes!
